Quick conversion: Siemens has got the hang of PFISTERER sleeves

The challenge

As part of the conversion from the 30 kV medium-voltage level to the national 110 kV level, new lines and substations have been built in Gera. The general contractor Siemens needed a fast, robust and easy-to-install solution to perform this conversion.

The solution

Siemens opted for PFISTERER pull-on sleeves. These sleeves offer a modular design and a bayonet lock that enables quick and easy installation. Two sleeve elements are connected by simply twisting until they click into place, without metal clamping rings, pipes or flanges being necessary. IXOSIL sleeves are also completely watertight, which makes installation easier even in challenging environments.
