Winterbach, Germany – PFISTERER Kontaktsysteme GmbH has been awarded the prestigious Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability rating, placing the company among the top 3% of evaluated businesses. Compared to the previous year, PFISTERER improved in all assessment categories, raising its overall score significantly – from 63 to 81 points. This achievement underscores the company’s strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

SYSTEMATIC CO₂ MANAGEMENT AND CLIMATE STRATEGY
Since 2023, PFISTERER has implemented a structured CO₂ management system, measuring its group-wide Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and setting clear reduction targets for its own emissions (Scope 1 & 2) as well as its supply chain (Scope 3). EcoVadis has upgraded PFISTERER’s Carbon Management Level to “Advanced.” In addition, the company’s greenhouse gas inventory has been verified by DEKRA – a key step toward transparency and credibility.
A cornerstone of PFISTERER’s climate strategy is the transition to renewable energy. By 2030, the company aims to cover the majority of its electricity and heating needs from renewable sources – through green power purchases, conversion to heat pumps, installation of photovoltaic systems, and connection to local heating networks. PFISTERER also systematically pursues energy efficiency measures, including regular energy audits and optimized heat distribution.
COMMITMENT TO RESOURCE AND MATERIAL EFFICIENCY
PFISTERER continuously works on resource-efficient product design and reuses production scrap to improve material efficiency. The company also invests in innovative manufacturing processes that reduce material consumption and promote circular economy principles.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE
Through its “PFISTERER One World” initiative, the company supports social projects at its international locations. PFISTERER also places great emphasis on integrity and ethics: its updated Code of Conduct and training programs on compliance and workplace safety are integral parts of its corporate culture. A newly established ESG Committee oversees sustainability goals and integrates environmental and social standards into procurement processes. Additional measures include equal opportunity programs, e-learning offerings, and an internal whistleblowing system for ethical concerns.
In 2025, PFISTERER implemented 55 sustainability initiatives across environmental, social, ethical, and procurement areas and defined concrete goals that are pursued company-wide. “The EcoVadis Gold Medal is both a confirmation and an incentive for us,” says Felix Fried, Sustainability Manager at PFISTERER Group. “Sustainability is firmly embedded in our corporate strategy. We will continue to take responsibility – for people, for the environment, and for a sustainable future.“
