PFISTERER Breaks Ground on New HVDC Qualification Center in Winterbach – 30 Million Euro Investment to Advance Next-Generation Energy Technology
Winterbach, Germany – On September 19, PFISTERER Holding SE has officially broken ground on a new HVDC Qualification Center at its headquarter in Winterbach. With an investment of around 30 million euros, the company is creating a state-of-the-art facility for the development and testing of cable accessories and systems. Completion is planned for the first half of 2027.

KEY COMPONENT FOR FUTURE TECHNOLOGY
The new HVDC Qualification Center, consisting of a high-voltage testing facility and a materials development laboratory, will enable development, type, and routine testing to qualify cable accessories and systems for operation at the highest voltage levels. This will accelerate PFISTERER’s innovation cycles, strengthen its HVDC expertise, and support the rapid expansion of future-ready energy grids worldwide.
